Located 28 km from SanCristóbal de las Casas. The tight valley where it sits this Tzeltal community is dominated by a limestone wall.

Women are incomparable tenejapanecas weavers; their hupiles are true works of art whose motives can be traced back to symbolism of origin prehispanico.

The people of pottery, called in their language Toz'ontajal, is located on a small rise overlooking a fertile valley covered with crops, 37km from San Cristobal de las Casas.

This Tzeltal community is famous for pieces of clay that the artisans shape by hand and then cooked with firewood opencast.
